Description: Since he is known for his sensational organ trancriptions it’s perhaps fitting that 42 of this disc’s 72 minutes are devoted to his spectacular Mussorgsky transcription of 1988 while his first opus number, a 1954 piece locating him in the modern French school, the 1993 take on a Korean popular song (Säya) and a magisterial 2008 Hymnus written for Cologne Cathedral, give a quick overview of his career.
