Description: Except for the pezzi facili, all these works are first recordings. Needless to say, except for the early sonata, these pieces from the 1970s (the Elegia is a bit earlier, from 1956) are little shavings inspired by the same serene, witty, ironic and heart-easing muse who stood over Rota in everything he did. It's unclear who did the flute-and-piano versions of the 16-minute suite of film music but it works well. Roberto Fabbriciani (flute), Massimiliano Damerini (piano), Luisella Botteon (second flute).
