Description: More unknown and attractive music from Kraus with this 78-minute set of incidental music for a Swedish production of Molière's play which ran in the late 1780s and early 1790s. There are 21 numbers in four Intermèdes (12 of them choral or vocal), followed by a closing Divertissement with eight purely orchestral dance numbers. Lighter than much of Kraus' music but a valuable reminder of how professional he could be even in the less serious genres. French-German texts.
