Description: This Augustinian monk was maestro di capella in Montepulciano and, later, in Siena. The main work here is "Adam", one of four sacred oratorios published in 1700. Though called "oratorio", this lasts only 24 minutes and is a late survivial of the early 17th century "sacred dialogue". Which, in fact is what two other works on this disc (published in 1699) are formally titled. Interesting conservative survivals in the late Italian baroque period. Italian, Latin texts.
