Description: The largest work here is film composer Broughton's 28-minute Incongruities, so called because its first movement is in neo-baroque style, its second a tribute to early 20th century Prokofiev style and its finale inspired by Scottish folk music. Everything else by everyone is very melodic, Royer's Rhapsody sounding very much like a film score (he's also a film and TV composer). Conrad Chow (violin), Bruce Broughton (piano), Sinfonia Toronto; Ronald Royer.
