Description: Very few of Dussek's symphonies have been recorded before - three on a Naxos disc from 2002 (03D032) and one on Alto in 2007 (06I036), so this new release is doubly welcome, bringing, as it does, four more works (one in four and three in three movements) which compare well to those by the composer's Viennese and Prague contemporaries, Vanhal, Dittersdorf and Hofmann.
