Description: Servais was a pioneer in virtuosic playing techniques for cellists and wrote most of his music for himself to show them off. The Op. 5 concerto was recently offered on cpo (08N004) but this new release offers his Morceau - effectively his second concerto, a single-movement work of 15 minutes divided into fast-slow-fast sections.
