Description: Musilli was chapel master at Basilica of St. Francis in Assisi and is one of those regional minor masters recently being rediscovered who wrote quite a lot of music for use in church, for teaching purposes and for his own pleasure. The Italian operatic style is in full force in most of these pieces which are also distinguished by lively melodies, brilliant rhythms and great harmonic variety. Performed on two Umbrian organs of Musilli's period. Alessandro Bianconi (organs of S. Francesco, Città di Castello and N. Nicolò, Celle).
