Description: Why haven't you heard much about these works? They're only secondarily violin sonatas. The first three listed above, with the violin part by the famous traveler/music journalist were originally piano sonatas from around 1774 and "violined" ten years later in London. The Divertimento is the earliest piece here, from 1766 and the G major dates from Haydn's London years (1794), having been published also as a piano trio and a flute sonata. Michael Dartsch (violin), Monika Tschurl (piano).
