Description: This collection of unknown sacred music is dominated by the 47-minute motet Coeli voces, composed while still at school in 1767, apparently for a wedding, and which sounds like an audition for a gig at writing a full-scale comic opera with its two "Neapolitan girl" soprano arias, one furioso bass aria and a pastoral aria for the alto. The shorter works are equally pretty and equally early except for Antra, equally operatic in style, which is from 1780 and may not actually be by Cimarosa. Lidita Hisku, Alessia De Amicis (sopranos), Antonio Giovannini (alto), Luigi De Donato (bass), Schola Cantorum San Sisto, Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese; Francesco Quattrocchi.
