Description: The short-lived genre of the cantatille (a shorter version of the French cantata which had been exemplified in the 1720s by Clerambault) dates from the 1740s when these six were published by their obscure composer. Setting typical mythological-based texts on love, they are graceful, relaxed works and their melodies are richly elaborated and ornamented. French-English texts. Mónika González (soprano), Zoltán Megyesi (tenor), Róbert Mandel (hurdy-gurdy), Pál Németh (flute), Piroska Vitárius (violin), Ottó Nagy (cello, viola da gamba), Ágnes Várallyay (harpsichord), Gábor Tokodi (lute).
