Description: These four-movement sonatas, all but one in typical baroque slow-fast-slow-fast sequence, were published in 1742. They contain practically every element of Classical sonata form but in prototypical, fragmentary ways which point both to Platti's ingenious creative sense and to his subsequent influence on the early keyboard sonatas of Haydn and the young Mozart.
