Description: Presented here are First recordings of anonymously ornamented arrangements of the second half dozen sonatas from Corelli's famous opus by William Babell, Michel Blavet, Pietro Castrucci, Matthew Dubourg, Francesco Geminiani, Giuseppe Tartini, Francesco Maria Veracini and the anonymous, c.1750 Manchester Manuscript. Yes, that means three levels: 1) Corelli's sonatas, 2) arrangments for recorder(s) by the composers above and 3) ornamentation by unknown performers from throughout the 18th century.
