Description: All but one of these intimate works date from 1794 or 1798. MH 551 is the most unusual in its austere purity, adhering often to Gregorian chant. The others are more of their period in melodiousness (and Sanctae Crucis is an early work of 1762) but the simple forces of 18 voices and three continuo instruments obtain throughout. Purcell Choir, Levente Gyöngyösi (organ), Csilla Vályi (cello), György Janszó (double bass), György Vashegyi (conductor).
