Description: All the sonatas, written over an eleven-year period begun in 1885, during the last part of Piatti’s creative period, long established as a celebrity of musical life in Victorian London, embody qualities associated with Piatti, especially in the handling of melody, which is distinctly operatic in its lyricism.
