Description: You may recall the release of Garth's six cello concertos six years ago (04J039); unlike those, which were much like Charles Avison's baroque style, these (published in 1768 and c.1772 respectively) have bits of C.P.E. Bach, Domenico Scarlatti and even the sonatas of J.C. Bach which had begun to appear in the early 1760s. They are in two movements, lasting 6-10 minutes and the "accompaniments", which add nothing original to the keyboard part, are two violins and cello. 2 CDs for the price of 1.
