Description: The concerto of 1918 is a full-bodied, heaven-storming Romantic Concerto of the old-fashioned late 19th-century type which has already appeared in Hyperion’s “Romantic Piano Concerto” series while the early Stańczyk (1904) and the symphonic poem (1906) show the young composer trying on various styles from Liszt and Tchaikovsky to Paderewski.
