Description: About the fourth recording of most of these works; maybe only the second of the full, eight-movement version of the 1948 Serenade. But you may not have heard this version of Lonely Waters in which part of the East Norfolk folk-song upon which the piece is based is actually sung by a soprano at the end of the piece; existing recordings have Moeran's alternate version with cor anglais instead of voice.
