Description: The only known work by a composer about whom almost nothing is known is a Marian mass, performed here by only female voices and a body of violins and continuo. The 24 minutes of the mass are supplemented by five motets by Charpentier and one by Lully to provide an Office around the ordinary of the mass such as one might have heard in mid-17th century France.
