MAX REGER (1873-1916): Violin Concerto in A, Op. 101 (arr. Rudolf Kolisch [1896-1978])

Description: Yet another example of the Schoenberg circle's arrangements of large-scale orchestral works for private performance. Only discovered in the Kolisch archive at Harvard in 1986, this arrangement (string quartet, double bass, flute, clarinet, horn, harmonium and piano) dates from 1921 and apparently makes some changes to the extremely difficult soloist's part (although the almost non-existent notes are not clear on this).
