OTTORINO RESPIGHI (1879-1936): Suite for String Instruments and Flute, Melodia e Valse caressante for Flute and Strings (World Premiere Recordings), Serenata for Small Orchestra, Gli uccelli.
Catalogue Number: 04W004
Reference: TC 871805
Description: First recording of two works for flute and strings that came to light after a long oblivion (and now published by Roberto Fabbriciani for the editors Suvini Zerboni). There is no evidence of performances in the period in which they were composed. The “Suite” and the diptych “Melodia” and “Valse caressante” (from 1905 and 1902 respectively) are in fact works dating back to the composer's first prolific period, remaining until now manuscripts in custody of the Museum of Music in Bologna and the Fondazione Cini in Venice. Roberto Fabbriciani (flute), Orchestra Sinfonica Abruzzese; Nicola Paszkowski.
