Description: The D major symphony, a commission from the King of Prussia of uncertain date (between 1786 and 1797), was plundered by Soviet troops and kept in the Glinka Museum in Moscow, which explains why this is its first recording. The delectable Notturno is in the ethereal and unhurried mood of the composer's more famous Night Watch in Madrid or even Glinka's Souvenir de Madrid and has only one other CD recording. Pratum Integrum Orchestra; Pavel Serbin (cello).
