Description: Pachulski's father was a forester on the estate of Nadezhda von Meck and Henryk grew up surrounded by the musical influences of the many famous musicians and composers who frequented the salon of Tchaikovsky's great benefactress (he later became a professor at the Moscow Conservatory). Pachulski's piano works are similarly eclectic, with influences from Liszt to Anton Rubinstein, folk music taking a minor role but a typically Slavic darkness and melancholy often present. Lubow Nawrocka (piano).
