Description: This 73-minute collection concentrates on works either left incomplete or which were orchestrated by other composers (or conductors). Aside from La boîte a joujoux, there is apparently no competition for the rest of this disc on CD right now. Ansermet makes L'isle joyeuse sound like "Son of La Mer" and the épigraphes couldn't be more lusciously, colorfully Debussian, you'd like to think, if Debussy had orchestrated them himself. Orchestre National de Lyon; Jun Märkl.
