Description: Chopin and Liszt were amongst the composer/pianists of the Romantic age who were fond of playing orchestral works in eight-handed arrangements on two pianos and some composers even transcribed some of their own works for this formation, including Glazunov and Balakirev here. Eduard Langer, a colleague of Tchaikovsky at the Moscow Conservatory, did the honors for his friend (he also did his Fifth and Sixth Symphonies, which would be something to hear!). Aurora Quartet (two pianos, eight hands).
