Description: The second all-Thuille lieder disc from this American soprano (see also 12J076) brings a handful of early songs from 1877-79 as well as two groups from 1889 and one from 1899. All are vivid depictions of the various texts and belong firmly in the best German Lied tradition with echoes of both Wagner and Richard Strauss present in the more mature pieces.
