Description: Only current CD versions of the trio (1926), an interesting combination of Celtic modalites and oriental exoticism and Impromptus (1925), one pentatonic, the other a Breton dance. Other exoticisms can be found in the Suite of 1927 which was inspired by a xylophone-like instrument Cras acquired in west Africa and in the modal, pentatonic harp quintet (1928) which seems to speak of ancient meadows populated by dryads, nymphs and fauns (and might make you think of his opera Polyphème). Juliette Hurel (flute), Marie-Pierre Langlamet (harp), Philippe Graffin (violin), Miguel da Silva (viola), Henri Demarquette (cello).
