Description: Only available recording of Fuchs' Intermezzi of 1907. Not surprisingly with this composer, they are redolent of Schumannian and Brahmsian Romanticism with the latter's Intermezzi the closest model of their form. You won't find Zemlinsky's 1896 Serenade anywhere else either: a 20-minute sequence of Germanic Romanticism (remember how conservative his first symphony sounded when it was finally recorded back in the 80s?) while Singer's little commission from the artists here is a picture in his mind of Vienna around 1900, when its discmates were being composed... Elena Denisova (violin), Alexei Kornienko (piano). 2006 release.
