Description: The latest volume of music by this Austrian composer driven into American exile by the Nazis brings us the first two of his 15 (!) violin sonatas which, dating from 1911 and 1923, offer a seamless outpouring of fin de siècle Viennese lyricism, with one good tune following another, in a style somewhere between Brahms and Korngold.
