Description: We’ve had more than a dozen Dubois releases in the last ten years or so and, though this one duplicates the two violin-and-piano pieces which were in a volume of Atma’s chamber music series of the mid 00’s, it gives us the first CD recording available here of the half-hour-long concerto of 1896, classically proportioned and structured, full of lovely melody and as comfortably conservative as anything written fifty years earlier.
