Description: This comic opera was a popular source for transcriptions of various types: we offered one for string quartet just last December (12J048). This one is shorter and contains only three of the scenes and arias on the former release, offering the overture and nine other numbers, leaving room for the premiere recordings of three 9-10 minute divertimenti which probably date from around 1795 and which were only discovered in the archives of the British Library in 2005.
