Description: Yet another forgotten symphonist! Eichner wrote either 31 or 37 of them between 1769 and 1776 and was unique among composers of his time for trying and succeeding at synthesizing such current stylistic traits as the dynamic range and expressivity of the Mannheim style, Sturm und Drang, French periodicity and cantabile and North German melodic, song-like style. This collection offers one late work from 1776 (No. 31) with the others all dating from 1772. If anyone deserves a series, if not a complete cycle, it's this unique example of early Classical eclecticism. l'arte del mondo; Werner Ehrhardt.
