Description: Another attractive late Romantic composer is revealed here: Pfeiffer had a fairly obscure career as pianist for several chamber music societies and also produced a symphony, a few stage works and three piano concertos. We're dealing here with another label which thinks that the concept of providing information about the music they've recorded is idiotic, so we can only assume, due to the high opus number, that this trio is probably pretty close to 1900 if not later, but can say that its style, well-pressed and polished (its minor key notwithstanding) is quite in the aisle where you'd find Saint-Saëns. Trio Arcadis.
