Description: It's good to have a new recording of eight to Vorísek's twelve Rhapsodies from 1818. Highly expressive works, like little tone-poems or portraits, they carry the performance markings which would become ever more common in Romanticism (ardito, innocentemente, etc.) and share founding honors of these lyrical Romantic piano pieces along with Schubert's Impromptus and Mendelssohn's later Songs without Words.
