Description: In the constant search for unusual repertoire, we offer the opening Overtures from three of Dieupart's harpsichord suites in the composer's own arrangement for flute and continuo which date from 1701. Their French style will contrast with the polyglot style of the three Handel sonatas which come from a 1730 publication. Some movements come from previously existing works and some are new and shed light on an area little-known by Handel collectors: the flute was not an instrument he wrote very much for. Frank Theuns (flute), Les Buffardins.
