Catalogue Number: 07T053
Description: Offered for Crawford’s dissonant and harmonically avant-garde Preludes from the late 1920s which showed her well on her way to becoming one of the “American Ultramodernists”. These also appeared on an MD&G disc 12 years ago where our blurb referred to them as lasting 29 minutes. Here they are just under 19. Another reason to hear this if you’re a specialist in the genre. Margaret Mills (piano).
