Description: The fifth Mayr opera we've offered since January of 2007, this is the first one-act farse, produced in 1798 (all of Mayr's works in this genre dated from the three years at the end of that century), full of Mayr's usual mastery of melody, orchestration and variation of recitative, accompanied recitative, arias and ensembles both within each and among each other. 71 minutes of pure joy with a few nods to late Mozart.
