Description: Published in London in 1724, these are four-movement pieces distinguished by espressive and lyrical opening movements, often fugal second ones with lighter third and fourth movements closing them out. Soloist Lorenzo Cavasanti uses eight different recorders. The first disc is brand new; the second was recorded in 1992 and 1996 but what label they originated on is unknown. 2 CDs.
