Description: These are the remaining five of Fasch's surviving "overture symphonies" (not his term but a modern one) which mix the French Overture from orchestral suites with the slow movement and fast finale of the Italian sinfonie (the other two came out on cpo six years ago - 02K029) to produce something rather close to the Classical symphony.
