Description: This tribute to a Belgian student of Ysaÿe, Thibaud and Enesco turns out to be a relative gold-mine of rare repertoire - almost three full discs of concertos by Belgian composers (and the Huybrechts sonata in a historical recording). At budget-price, it's still a bargain when you throw out the two discs of Brahms! The rare repertoire is all mono radio recordings (except the Brahms) in generally clear, somewhat close sound. 5 CDs. Carlo Van Neste (violin).
