Description: Spanish works for violin are quite rare and these are all the ones Turina wrote (they date from 1923-43). Spanish flavor exists in all of them, whether through rhythms or adaptations of dance forms. The first sonata (1929) is the most French-inspired of the disc in its form and simplicity of theme and developments; the second (1934) the most personal and original in its thematic elaboration.
