Description: The Pla brothers, known up to now (if at all) as oboists who composed chamber music for their instrument, also wrote a bit of church music, all of which has been recorded here in Premiere Recordings. Josep’s Stabat Mater not surprisingly follows in the footsteps of Pergolesi while Manuel’s Salve Regina and short cantatas are in a more Italian operatic style. Spanish texts.
