Description: The two complete world premiere recordings here are Jadassohn’s 1860 symphony, a four-movement work (lasting just over 24 minutes) of youthful freshness and vigor which traffics equally in Beethovenian brio and Mendelssohnian charm, and the nine-minute Macbeth, a dramatic and foreboding tone poem which attempts to capture the spirit of Shakespeare’s play.
