Description: This second set of live recordings from Italy brings much which is new to disc (all, in fact, except Preghiera), from the very early Rotativa (1930) which has its roots in the Rumorismo of the Italian futurism movement as well as in the machine music of the Russian futurists, the equally unusual 1950 Trio (Scelsi hardly ever used percussion exclusively in a work), the 1960 Wo Ma which will appeal to lovers of the Canti del Capricorno to the 1963 Chukrum which was never performed in Scelsi's lifetime and which uses a larger string ensemble in an amplification of the techniques on display in the Third and Fourth string quartets.
