Description: Another recital chock-full of rich and melodic Late Romanticism, like the first volume remarkable for the hint of Russian darkness which infects much of Bowen's music ("the English Medtner"?), especially the 1928 sonata and the Nocturne (although many of the other short works here could have been called "Nocturne" also, even beyond the obviously titled Evening Calm.
