Description: The main event here is the 27-minute sonata from 1922 by the Belgian Dupuy, a student of D’Indy. It’s a cyclic piece like the sonatas of his teacher and of Franck with a relaxed Modéré followed by a rougish scherzo, an impassioned Lent and a tumultuous finale. Bonnal’s piece from c.1919 is a six-minute homage to the Belgian survivors of the Great War. Gaëtane Prouvost (violin), Eliane Reyes (piano).
