Description: The bassoonist who planned this recital finds these pieces by German and French immigrants to England to be, more or less, "people's music" not written for court musicians and the number of naggingly memorable "hooks" is certainly high, as are the embedded references to Scottish music (so she adds some traditional Scottish airs). Really enjoyable stuff! Ensemble Chameleon.
