Description: In addition to the usual suspects in Italian oboe-and-orchestra pieces, we have an otherwise not available early Classical concerto by Sammartini, one by Aguilar, founding father of the Italian oboe school who pays tribute to Mozart by quoting from his Exsultate Jubilate in his single-movement, nine-minute concerto, and a cor anglé concerto in Classical style by Pilotti, a lifelong resident of Bologna where he held several teaching posts. Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto; Diego Dini Ciacci (oboe, english horn).
