Description: The main reason for offering this is, of course, Debussy's 1891 arrangement of the 1845 canonic etudes (lasting 21 minutes here) which enhance the original sonority of the pieces (and Debussy was the third composer to arrange them, after Bizet and Theodor Kirchner!). The "Ghost Variations" aren't often done either - they're the last thing Schumann finished before pitching himself into the Rhine in 1854... Tzimon Barto (piano), North German Radio Symphony Orchestra; Christoph Eschenbach (second piano).
