Description: Born in Bratislava, Kusser studied with Lully and worked extensively in Germany, England and Ireland. These suites, published in 1700, are in the Lullian idiom while showing their composer to have a rich melodic and harmonic imagination. Horns, recorders, flutes, a trumpet and percussion add to the color of the manuscript's oboe, bassoon and strings, producing a vivid aural spectactle sure to be enjoyed by collectors of French orchestral music. Volume One was offered back in October of 2005 (10H020) Aura Musicale; Balázs Máté.
